1:58 Austin, TX shoutout from Kanye

Hey Wavves guys. Can we be friends?

Rock It Out Blog wonders if this interview with Wavves is the worst ever (aside from this one).

I kinda like it. …A lot.

A seriously fresh and original cover of Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools” by George Barnett.

This is one of the best and most worthwhile covers I have ever heard.

Rather than add more of the same to the already oversaturated music market, Barnett took Lamar’s hit and made it into something completely new and entirely unique.

Wait for the tongue click at the end- it’s the cherry on top.

Here’s how you can weed through my blog

It’s like the inside of my brain on this thing! …You’d think it’d be squishier.

1: CEDRIC attacking the stage. This boy thrashes like he has 9 lives. He definitely deserves that cover photo.
2: Noah killing it for Modern Pain.
3: Jay tearing it apart, also for Modern Pain.
4. And then Cedric again, getting down (literally) to friends’ band Power Trip.

It was a good night. Thank you, Central Track, for the photography. My discovery of it is only four months late… 1: CEDRIC attacking the stage. This boy thrashes like he has 9 lives. He definitely deserves that cover photo.

The Year-Round South-By Guy’s Guide to SXSW

I made this video for IFC that lays out a comprehensive fitness program for keeping yourself in peak condition for South By Southwest all year long. Watch it to get your shit together before you go to Austin in a few weeks.

Alex is readier than you will ever be.

I try to watch TV, but always end up scouring the internet for everything from art to current events, instead. Today’s a music day.

If this song were food it would be Bubble Yum, but a magical kind that would never, ever get old.

Blood Diamonds (feat. Grimes) - ‘Phone Sex’

"Hey, Daddy! Hey, Daddy! It’s too soon. I’m livin’ on the moon."

"Blood Diamonds, aka Michael Diamond, is a Los Angeles-based pop artist best known for his luxurious dreamscapes and infectious, sun-dipped production. What will be his debut 4AD record, the much-talked about ‘Phone Sex’ (featuring Grimes) track is finally getting released on July 16th (EU/UK) / July 24th (North America)."-4ADRecords

Very happy about rediscovering this song.

"BTSTU" by Jai Paul.

Chilly smooth.

A Place to Bury Strangers - I Lived My Life to Stand in the Shadow of Your Heart

I wish I was allowed to say this sh*t gets me wet. But I can’t.
